This month we're celebrating the humble apple harvest with a host of eye-catching crafts inspired by the season's bounty
1. Begin by downloading and printing the apple brooch template here.
2. Cut out the paper pieces. Pin the larger apple shape to some thick dark red felt and the smaller to pale cream felt. Cut them both out then remove the pins and templates.
3. Lay the smaller cream apple shape on top of the larger red apple and stitch them together with dark red embroidery thread. Stitch two dried apple pips to the centre of the apple slice, this is a little tricky as the pips can slip about, try and catch them in several small crossed over stitches.
4. Lastly sew a brooch pin onto the back of the apple slice.
