Enter the LandLove 2017 photographic competition

We know from your emails, letters, tweets, Instagram and Facebook posts that you enjoy taking photos of the British countryside and our native wildlife. So send us your best shots and you could win some fantastic prizes plus your photo will feature in the September 2017 issue

After your overwhelming response and enthusiasm in the past three year’s LandLove photographic competitions we wanted to give you another chance to impress us with your photographic skills in 2017. There are 12 categories for you to enter in this year’s competition all aimed at celebrating the very best of the landscapes, flora and wildlife found in rural and coastal areas across the British Isles.

The best photo in each category, as chosen by our judging panel of Natalie Crofts - Editor of LandLove, Laura Robertson - LandLove’s Designer and Ian Savage - Head of Jessops Academy, will feature in our September 2017 issue.

From those 12 finalists we will choose one overall winner. The person who takes that winning photo will receive a fantastic Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 camera with 12-60mm lens, featuring a 20.3 megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor for superb image quality, 4K video and 4K photo recording, dual image stabiliser, with a splash and dustproof rugged design (RRP £799), a £100 Jessops photo in-store voucher and a place on a Jessops Academy Level 1 course (RRP £119) to help you get the most out of your camera, all courtesy of Jessops (www.jessops.com). Each category finalist will receive a year’s subscription to LandLove magazine, an Altorock II 25 litre rucksack courtesy of Regatta (www.regatta.com), a fantastic prize bundle from the RSPB (shopping.rspb.org.uk), including a copy of the RSPB Guide to Digital Wildlife Photography book and suet punnet packed full of nutritious treats for your birds, and a brilliant range of blue tit goodies, including a lunch box, flask and water bottle, from Dotcomgiftshop (www.dotcomgiftshop.com).

You don’t need fancy equipment to take a winning shot, just a great eye and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. The competition is open to amateur photographers, excluding anyone who earns more than 50% of their income from photography. Entries must have been taken in the British Isles, must not have been offered for sale and must not have won other competitions. The closing date for entries is 25th June 2017. You may enter up to four photographs. Please write your name, address, email address, daytime and evening phone number on the back of each photo and clearly mark which category you want to enter it into along with a brief description of where it was taken.
