Winston’s Wish is egg-cited to host the Great British Brekkie Week once again, to raise vital funds for bereaved children by kicking off your day in style. We find out how you can get involved
Winston’s Wish is calling out across the country for families, friends, colleagues and classmates to join them and help raise £50,000 to support bereaved children by hosting a charity breakfast in February 2015. From the 9th–15th February, Winston’s Wish is asking everyone to make their morning special and revive the tradition of the Great British breakfast. This can be anything from a sturdy full English, to a good old cuppa and toast, to a fancy continental dish. A whole host of celebrities have already signed up to back the campaign, and you can too. Anything from running a breakfast colouring competition for the little ones at school to hosting a breakfast club at work, there are lots of ways to fundraise over breakfast and celebrate the best of our British produce as you do so.
A nutritious and balanced breakfast provides the energy needed to embrace the morning by refuelling the body and brain and kick-starting the metabolism, so visit our breakfast section of recipes by clicking here for inspiration.
The event is free to take part in so to get involved register for your starter pack online at www.greatbritishbrekkie.org.uk, where you will also find ‘brekkie’ recipes, a gallery of photos and videos and an interactive ‘brekkie’ map.
