A new collaboration with Paramount Pictures UK will see Visit Isle of Wight's popular free download Isle of Fright Ghost Trail app re-launch this Autumn

The app has been updated as part of the promotion to celebrate the release of 'Rings', a new chapter in the Ring horror franchise.

The app returns with the popular feature of spooky Isle of Wight tales along with the 'ghost bombing' element that will allow users to add ghostly filters over their photos for sharing on social media.

There will also be a competition opportunity for users to physically travel across the Isle of Wight that will record visits to hidden 'dark sites'. By visiting a certain number of dark sites visitors will unlock entrances to the competition page. However, be wary of 'witching hour' when creatures of the night appear at their most powerful...

Festive Guided Tours at Osborne 

Running from 16th November to 22nd December, join English Heritage guides and discover how Christmas was celebrated at Osborne when Queen Victoria was in residence.

Festival of Light Inspired by Diwali 

Running until 5th November, enjoy the Festival of Light inspired by Diwali, a stunning spectacle of creatively themed light, colour, sound, and entertainment inspired by the Hindu Festival of Diwali, where 'light triumphs over darkness'.

Stargazing Weekend at the Isle of Wight Planetarium

Running between 25 and 27 November, the Island Planetarium gives you an enjoyable and worthwhile weekend to enjoy the stars. Whether you are a novice or serious astronomer, it is a great chance to enjoy talks and teaching sessions use our virtual reality planetarium dome.

Santa Specials at the IW Steam Railway 

Come along and enjoy the festive atmosphere at Havenstreet Station with live Christmas music, a bustling market and lots of entertainment and magic shows for the children. And, of course, there will be the chance to meet Father Christmas...This will be running on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, and 21st to 24th December.
