On 27th January 2016 chefs from across the country will descend on The Red Lion in Barnes, each aiming to create the ultimate sausage roll under the beady eyes of the judging panel
Judges include food critic Charles Campion, MasterChef 2015 finalist Emma Spitzer, Judge on The Big Allotment Challenge Thane Prince, and Head Chef at Bonhams restaurant in London Tom Kemble, who will be looking to reward the most inventive and delicious sausage roll creations.
Hosted by award-winning beer and food writer Melissa Cole, the competition will be fundraising for Shooting Star Chase, a children's hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Last year's competition was won by Head Chef at BNY Mellon, John Grabecki, who produced a rabbit sausage roll with black pudding, rabbit leg, loin, maple syrup and Bayonne ham served with rabbit liver parfait, offal crumb and powdered potato.
