This month the colourful autumn harvest has inspired us to get crafting, from felted brooches to a rustic flower arrangement, there’s plenty to inspire you for the season ahead
1. Download and print our ‘Pumpkin Leaf’ template here.
2. Cut round the paper leaf shape. Fold over a piece of natural coloured fabric and pin on the paper leaf. Cut round the template, unpin and remove the pattern.
3. Re-pin the two pieces of fabric together. Stitch round the outer edge of the leaf and then stitch from the tip of the leaf down to the bottom of the stalk. Trim away any loose threads. Repeat to make as many leaves as you need.
4. Then, paint your chosen pumpkins with acrylic or spray paint in colours of your choice. To dress up your pumpkins, pin the fabric leaves to the stalks then create an autumnal display with different size, type and colour gourds. This looks especially eye-catching around Hallowe’en as a display in the front garden or around a porch.
