With winter rapidly approaching, a hearty breakfast is becoming increasingly appealing
Bacon is, without a doubt, one of the most important components of the iconic English Breakfast - however, everyone will have a different opinion on the perfect level of crispiness.
Serving a whopping 17 million breakfasts a year, Premier Inn has looked to settle the debate once and for all - how much crunch do we actually want?
The most popular variety was number three, the Crowd-Pleaser, with over a third of the nation (37 per cent) saying this would be their ideal way to have a rasher.
Coming in second place was the Crispy Crackler, the second most crispy - a quarter of the UK said this was the only way to enjoy bacon. The next one was the Barely Braised, with 21 per cent saying they'd only be happy with this level of crispiness. In fourth place was the crispiest of them all - the King of Crisp, with seven per cent saying this is how they'd like their bacon.
Coming in last place was One-Minute Wonder, the least cooked piece of bacon, with only two per cent opting for this barely fried option.
