Wind a wire wall plaque

Wind a wire wall plaque

As spring rolls in, spend the last of the chilly days wrapped up, creating our easy to make seasonal crafts

Download our ‘Easter wall hanging’ template here or send a stamped self-addressed envelope to ’Wall hanging’ template LLMAR18, LandLove Magazine, HBMUK, The Tower, Phoenix Square, Colchester, Essex, CO4 9HU.

1 Print out the template onto a sheet of A4 paper. Lay the template face up on a flat work surface. Add a small piece of tape at each corner to hold the paper in place.

2 Measure and cut a 130cm length of fine flexible wire.

3 Tape one end of the wire to the table to the left of the template, this will prevent the wire moving and free up both hands while you work. Slowly bend and shape the wire following the printed outline as a guide. You can tape the wire on to the paper template as you progress if you wish.

4 To finish, unpeel the tape and lay the wire design on top of a branch. Use a second length of wire to form a loop from which the branch will hang; the hanger can be as long as you need. Wind each end of the hanging loop round each branch end incorporating each end of the hare design as you work.
