Nestled just a stone's throw from the coast, with access to a beautiful private beach, Oak Tree Cottage is a cosy retreat perfectly positioned for exploring the New Forest, set right in the heart of the national park. Situated in the grounds of the owner's New England style house, the cottage was once the area's electric generator plant now lovingly converted into a holiday hideaway the whole family will love – including the dog, who is also welcome.

Sleeping up to 5 people, the cottage boasts two comfy bedrooms including a charming mezzanine-style bedroom overlooking the open plan living area, and a private bedroom that can be set up with a king-size or twin beds, with an additional pull out bed available. The cottage is also equipped with a kitchenette with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge overlooking the spacious lounge with comfy sofas, TV and DVD player and dining table and chairs, whilst a wood burning stove is the centrepiece of the room.

After a busy day walking or cycling why not relax in the luxurious claw foot bath tub filled with White Company bubbles, kindly provided. Outside the little ones will love the treehouse whilst the large garden overlooking a woodland offers a haven for any age. The attractive decking area provides the perfect setting for a summer barbecue or a spot of wildlife watching at any time of year.

Just a five minute stroll away a picturesque beach can be found whilst a short four mile drive away the quaint village of Beaulieu can be explored. The 8,000-acre estate has been in the ownership of the Montagu Family for nearly 500 years and has a National Motor Museum and Palace House to visit as well as independent shops and delis along the cobbled high street, where bikes can also be hired. Round the corner kayak and canoe tours can be taken along the beautiful Beaulieu River, or simply relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife, and of course the ponies, deer and donkeys found wandering throughout the peaceful forest.

The cottage oozes rustic charm yet boasts modern amenities including Freeview and WiFi, and offers bed linen, towels and an unlimited supply of logs as standard. There is plenty of reading material on the local area and things to do on offer as well as extra blankets and heaters supplied on request for those extra chilly nights in. Whatever your reason for coming to stay in the New Forest you won't be sorry you picked Oak Tree Cottage, as it offers a luxurious escape with all the home comforts.
