Tear 'n' Share Seeded Cheese Scones

Serves: 8

You will need

225g self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
50g mixed seeds plus 1 tablespoon
75g cheese, grated e.g. Cheddar
50ml rapeseed oil
125ml semi-skimmed milk


1. Pre-heat the oven to 220ºC/Gas Mark 7. Place the flour, baking powder, 50g seeds and cheese in a bowl. Mix in the oil and milk and bring together to form a dough.

2. Divide the dough into 8 and roll into balls.

3. Place 1 dough ball in the centre of a greased baking tray, then place the others around it pressing them in so they all touch. Brush with milk and sprinkle over the remaining 1 tablespoon of seeds. Bake for 10-13 minutes until golden.

Tip: Serve with extra light soft cheese. Try adding chopped chives or parsley to the dough for even more flavour.
