French Toast with Parma Ham, Brie & Pear

Serves:

You will need

4 slices wholemeal or seeded bread
1 egg
1 ½ tbsp milk
1 tsp wholegrain mustard
two knobs of butter
1 pear, sliced
½ tbsp balsamic vinegar
100g brie, sliced
6 slices Parma Ham
salt and cracked black pepper



Directions

1. Start by combining the egg, milk and mustard, seasoning with a bit of salt and pepper.

2. Then, melt the butter in a pan, dip the bread into the egg mixture and fry until nicely golden.

3. Next, in another pan, fry the pear with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and cook until caramelised.

4. To finish, sandwich all ingredients in between the French toast.
